Intimate wedding at Tairua beach - Misa + Vinnie

This was actually my very first time going to Tairua beach. its not a very popular place compared to its larger nearby beaches like Hahei, Cathedral cove and hot water beach. But as I drove through the beautiful small beachy town of Tairua its one of those places you fall in love with straight away! You feel a sense of community and everyone you pass is so friendly. If you’ve been looking for a place too elope or have a wedding I highly recommend anyone of these beaches for your wedding with plenty of local vendors nearby to help with your special day!

I met Misa and the bridesmaids at their Air Bnb which was right on the beach front and only a short walk from where the grooms were getting ready. Misa’s parents also live right by the beach only a few minutes drive down the road and she was lucky enough to grow up there so this place is very close to her heart!

The intimate ceremony took place on the beach with their closest friends and family surrounding them. After the ceremony they all went back to the parents house to celebrate the night away with a chill-non traditional reception. Sitting under fairy lights, snacking on good food and having the time of their lives. Everything about this magical wedding day was diy too! From the smallest table styling, the florals, small potted native trees that each of their guests could take to plant in their homes and even custom made frisbees with their pups face printed on them so everyone could play frisbee golf with them!
