Frequent Questions

For you to get to know me better, i’ve created this page with some of the most commonly asked questions I get asked! Also feel free to reach out if you have any other questions!

  • Here’s a list of my baseline pricing to get you started:

    Couple Portraits $500+

    Elopements/Weddings $3500+

    Highlight video $1500+

    Film Add Ons $60+

    Brand/Editorial $600+

  • There is something so timeless and nostalgic about film that can’t quite be replicated with a digital camera. I would compare film to receiving a handwritten letter vs an email. There’s just something about a tangible letter that you want to treasure and keep. I also love how unpredictable film is. Light leaks, grain, all those little imperfections just add to its charm. If it were up to me, I would shoot almost entirely in film, I love it that much! I include 1 pack in every wedding package which typically gives you 36 exposures. I recommend adding on at least 5 rolls at a minimum, but the more, the better! I promise you won't regret it.

    FILM TYPES

35MM FILM [ Nostalgic & Cinematic ] Developed Film + High Resolution Scans

POLAROID [ Organic & Unique ] Instant, Physical Film

DISPOSABLE [ Raw & Candid ] Film shot from Guest’s Perspective

  • From the beginning, my philosophy has been quality over quantity. It’s not about a number when i’m creating, but rather about capturing your memories in a way that tells your story and brings back all the feelings of the day! All galleries are delivered through email in an online gallery where you can download, print, save favourites and so much more. Depending on the session, if it’s a couples shoot then you will receive your photos within 4 weeks or less, and you will receive 30+ high resolution edited images. If you booked me for a wedding or elopement, then it’s going to be closer to 6-12 weeks until you receive your gallery, and it’ll be 350+ high resolution images.

Film photos usually take 1-2 weeks to get back from the lab and I always send these off the day after the wedding.

  • Absolutely. I have so much random knowledge about the wedding industry in general that I’d love to share. If you need help with your timeline, where to go, tips and creative ideas, outfits/styling advice recommendations or anything that will make this process easier then please ask! I would love to help.

  • I love to travel! Although i’m based in Auckland, New Zealand I am happy to go wherever there is love!

  • I offer a Film Lovers package for everyone who loves film as much as I do! This includes 10 rolls (each roll has 36 exposures) for $1000. You can also add-on Polaroids which are $80 for (8), and disposable cameras for your guests to use from $35 each. The Film Lovers add-on covers the cost of the film, shipping, developing, and scanning, and I personally edit every image.

  • 1. Plan shoots around activities/places/details that are personally meaningful to you. Your photos will feel so much more organic and less “posed” this way. There are no rules! Be true to you and do what you love.

    2. Don't overpack your schedule. Consider adding on a day-after session so you can be fully present on your wedding day and shoot longer during the best light.

    3. Factor in the best lighting/time of day for your ceremony (use a sun tracker app to calculate the exact time the sun sets). Even light is ideal so try avoid midday sun when its highest in the sky.

    4. Simple, clean backgrounds photograph best. Too much going on/clutter can look busy in photos. When in doubt, less is more.

  • My style is raw, authentic and true to you. I have a more documentary-style, fly-on-the-wall approach to just capture your day how it happened. I care about candids with loved ones just as much as the epic couples portraits.

I also love to take chances and experiment with composition and various camera techniques to really capture your life as art. I'm not looking for the same traditional shots at every single wedding - because no wedding is the same. I really want your photos to feel different and unique to you. All I ask is you trust me to do my thing and together we'll create magic.

  • Absolutely! I require a 50% retainer to reserve your date, and then the other 50% is due 1 month before for weddings. I’m happy to split the second payment into two if needed, just let me know!

  • I’ve been shooting for 10+ years now and photographing weddings for the past 5 years full-time!

  • I don’t give out the RAW files ever. The editing process is where half of the magic happens! I absolutely love this process and have crafted my style over the years to get the unique look that my images have. You can rest assured that you will receive every photo that you would want/need and if you think I have missed a shot please just ask!

  • All of my packages include travel fees so you won’t be hit with any extra, unexpected charges ever!

  • I highly recommend adding on a day-before or after session so we can get all those epic couples photos without you missing out on time with friends and family on your actual wedding day. It also gives us more time to go to a scenic location and shoot with the best lighting around sunset. Or if it's before, to give everyone a chance to feel more comfortable in front of the camera and capture a fun experience with family and friends.

Creativity takes time. If you're stressed and rushed and we only have a few minutes for photos, it's never as ideal as slowing down and taking it all in together and making this an amazing experience. I will always make the most of whatever time we have on your wedding day, but how much we have is up to you!

  • If this is your first time in front of a camera that's okay! I will guide you as we shoot so you’re not awkwardly standing there wondering what to do. It’s important to me that you two are yourselves and in the moment with one another. This way, we can capture you for who you really are.

  • The most important thing is that you feel like yourselves and dress for the occasion. I highly recommend using color theory to make sure what you wear doesn’t clash with the landscape. How dark/light your clothes are can make a difference - for example, if we're shooting somewhere with dark rocks or a forest with moody greenery, you'll want to make sure you're wearing lighter tones so that you stand out. Stay away from things with bold labels and keep to earthy/neutral tones. Layers are also always a great idea to mix up your looks throughout the session.

  • Absolutely!! I'll walk you through all the steps to create a fully customized album that you can treasure for generations. Each album is printed on archival ink and museum-quality paper and is built to last.
